Meet The 6th Avenue Team
If you take away nothing else from this piece know this: No one can create the optimal portfolio for you until they understand your objectives, your risk tolerances, your financial needs, and your current financial picture. That is where we start. When we are done, you have a portfolio designed to perform over the long-term and generate the returns you need to meet your objectives. We are straightforward, and that is how financial planning should be.

We also believe in total disclosure and transparency. We will not dazzle you with financial jargon or overly complicated investment products. Our plan is to have you understand what you own, why you own it, and what it is supposed to do for you. There are no hidden fees, no back-end charges, and no robots performing auto rebalances built on universally applied algorithms.
We have a combined 50 years of investment experience and are seeking for our own personal portfolios the same outcomes as our clients: the best risk adjusted returns possible on the amount of money we are investing for the future. Our personal capital is invested in the same securities as yours. We win or lose together; and we have no plans to lose.
Who Are These Guys?
Adam Janovic
Before forming the 6th Avenue Team, Adam spent ten years as a partner in an Ingalls-advised private investment fund focusing on distressed debt and special situations. He joined Ingalls after serving as President of Janovic/Plaza, a fourth generation, family-owned chain of paint and home decorating stores in New York. Adam sold Janovic/Plaza to Benjamin Moore in 1999, having grown the business threefold over a nine year period. Adam has lectured on the challenges and nuances of family business matters at Universities, clubs, and private business organizations. Previously he worked in the Corporate Finance department at Smith Barney.
Adam received a B.A. from Colgate University with a major in economics and an M.B.A. from Cornell’s Johnson School of Management.
Adam’s outside activities have included nine years of service as a Board Member of Echoing Green, a foundation providing start-up funding to social entrepreneurs. Separately, Adam has provided financial backing and counseling to numerous start-ups and early stage organizations. Adam lives in New York City with his wife, three children, and an awesome dog.

Tom DiTosto has spent 30 years as a fixed-income professional. He has experience in municipal bonds, high-yield and high-grade bonds, as well as stocks and options. Having experience on numerous bond desks over his career, Tom brings a perspective to investing that can only be replicated through experience.

You can expect this to take up to a few hours. We then let you know what we heard and based on your feedback we craft your plan.
